Alexander Jakoblinski aka Machwerk was born in the middle of no-where at the beginning of the eighties. At the age of six, he moved to Münster
where he still spends most of his time.
Influenced by music of the eighties and by his first encounters with HipHop, he finally found his true big love in Electronic music, while he
was snooping around in his older brother’s record collections. He became an event technician and after several years of work experience in the
different night clubs of Münster, Alexander knew that he had found his fulfillment. The idea for Machwerk was more of a coincidence than a
planned matter. It all happened on an easy Sunday morning: The name MACHWERK dropped and things were signed and sealed. To add some spice,
no efforts were spared to establish an own podcast series — just for fun at the beginning. However, after putting out three of his podcasts,
Alexander knew that more were to follow. Today, after having released more than 20 podcasts including a couple thousand of minimal techno
samples, Alexander is working on his first label “Automatismus-Musik” — a label which also focusses on Minimal Techno.
